ALTERNANZA SCUOLA - LAVORO PRESSO FAMILA SUPERSTORE DI CONCORDIA SULLA SECCHIA

I did my internship at a Famila Store Supermarket in Concordia sulla Secchia and they made me do various things including stucking all sorts of goods and  dairy products onto the shelves, checking the labels and the expiry dates and printing the labels, where the price or name of the product was written. One thing that helped me a lot was observing how my other colleagues did things but also putting them into practice. Unfortunately there were times when my company tutors pointed out mistakes I had made and I didn't like it very much but humbly took it as part of the job.

Furthermore I can say that the relationship with the staff was very positive because whenever they saw that I was doing things correctly, they made me understand it in a way that made my day. Returning to the errors, one thing that made me anxious and therefore induced me to make mistakes was remembering every day which products I had to remove by looking at their expiry date, as I had to look at every single product on the shelf to see if there was one that was going to expire in a at least 5 days.

All in all I think that the subjects I learned at school really helped me like mathematics, as it was necessary to count the days, but what I liked most about the internship was that it allowed me to develop skills that I hadn't learnt at school and that, contrary to what I thought, I was able to quickly learn what I had to do. I can say that it was a positive experience because it allowed me to learn new things and I'm also happy with myself because from the end of the first week I could do things independently and I could freely deal with customers.

Finally, I can say that this internship made me really understand the world of work.
