BARILLA
On the day of the trip as soon as we arrived at school we got into our classroom first, the teachers took a roll call and the we left.
The bus was waiting for us in front of the school to get to one of Barilla’s headquarters in Castiglione delle Stiviere, near Mantua.
We got on the bus with class 2F. They did the roll call again to make sure everyone was there and we finally left at 8:10
When we arrived they hosted us in a factory room where they introduced to us the company, then they made us put on some lab coats and took us to visit the company.
At the beginning we saw the production of crackers and how they were packaged and then we moved on to the biscuits department.
They showed us the biscuit dough and we also tried it with chocolate chips. we saw the ovens where the biscuits were cooked and they let us try them fresh out of the oven. we finished the tour and left.
When we went back to the original factory room, we took off our lab coats and they gave us some gifts, such as the famous Gocciole and Galletti by Mulino Bianco.
We left and got to school at 1:45 by bus.
It was definitely one of the best factory visits we’ve ever done, in tune with our studying branch, which is called economic services. By talking with some members of staff we understood that if you really want it, you can make it to the top, like a business woman there, who had attended our same school.
The secret is in
studying hard and believing in yourself.
