gender non conforming child,
They find themselves facing the challenges of
accepting and understanding his gender identity. The story revolves around
their journey to find the right school for Jake while addressing social
expectations and prejudices.
The film explores themes of acceptance, social
norms, and the unconditional love parents have for their children, even in the
face of social pressures.
Gender equality
and gender stereotypes
The movie highlights that the lack of rights and opportunities for women contributes to the perpetuation of poverty and the impoverishment of communities. Addressing gender inequalities requires a change in social norms and the adoption of inclusive and cost-effective policies to support women, promote gender equality and foster sustainable development.
Gender stereotypes have existed since ancient
times, but nowadays they are very present, in some countries and cultures
today. Figures show that women still face abuse even in those countries who are
traditionally referred to as developed and advanced.
